My name is Brian Peck and I have been a photographer since I bought a Canon AE-1 camera in 1977 when I was 12 years old. My first passion is aviation and I have made a career and hobby out of that and have been able to combine the two passions at times. My 14 years as a USAF U-2 Pilot gave me a unique perspective on the world and many of my photos reflect that.
In college, I got my undergraduate degree in Physics and developed an interest in astronomy. For many years I wanted to do astrophotography (AP), but career and family always seemed to get in the way. That changed in 2017 with the coming of the total solar eclipse. I took up AP with a passion for 4 years and my results are here on my page.
Since moving to the Pacific Northwest in 2021, AP has become impractical due to frequent cloudy skies. I have now shifted my focus to terrestrial photography and am working on wildlife (mostly birds), landscape, and macro photography. My current equipment includes the following:
Canon R5
Canon RF 100-500 f/4.5-7.1L
Canon RF 100 f/2.8L Macro
Canon RF 14-35 f/4L
Canon RF 24-70 f/2.8L
Canon RF 70-200 f/2.8L
Canon RF 2X Extender
Canon Speedlite 430EX II
It is my hope to continue to add to and update this site regularly, but life, work, and other hobbies often get in the way and the website is a low priority for me. I’ll do my best!
